Congratulations to all the spellers in the 5th through 8th Grade District Spelling Competition. Barre Towns' 5th and 6th grade team of Aaron Brier, Gregory Thivierge, Shannon Brodie, Julia Jaminet, Dominick LaCasse and Kieran Verret competed first, with a close competition against Barre City. Barre City won and will advance to the regional competition. Our 7th and 8th grade team of Rebecca Rouleau, Jordan Scoville, Brandon Garbacik, Tim Erwin, Alex Keene, and Jesse Alger competed next and defeated our neighboring school. These students will continue to practice and will compete against other districts in the central part of the state on November 7th. The winner of this competition goes to the state competition later in November. Barre Town teams were coached by Mrs. Karen Heath and Mrs. Stefanie Kingzett.
